London is the political, cultural, and economic heart of the UK. At nearly 2,000 years old, the British capital interweaves the nearly ancient with the up-and-coming. Its rich history blends into modern life, where millennia-old architecture houses some of the world’s most innovative technology companies. And with 230 languages spoken within its 607 square miles, this melting-pot-metropolis is bursting with diversity. All in all, London oozes an undeniable magic from every crevice–and not just at Platform 9¾.
Plus, as a travel hub connecting Europe to the world, London is also a financial powerhouse that shapes much of the world economy.
