Welcome to Owler’s first Lifehack post, in which we’ll share a cool shortcut to everyday problems. We’re all for unconventional solutions, so why not see what we have in store today?
If you’ve ever dropped your phone, read on for Owler Lifehack #1.
If you’ve ever dropped your phone, you know the fear that exists in the moment before you look at its screen. Will there be a mark? Will the phone still work? Will I become Bill Hader from that T-Mobile (TMUS) ad? The fate of your precious Apple (APPL) iPhone or Samsung (005930) Galaxy S, out of your hands.
It might not remove cracks from your phone, but it turns out that your toothpaste serves as a pretty trusty scratch-remover.
Here’s how it works:
- With phone in hand, smear a small bead of toothpaste on the scratched areas of the screen.
- Softly dab with a cotton ball, cue tip, or soft cloth in circular motions.
- Be gentle!
- Dry with a “barely-damp” soft cloth.
- Admire the lack of scratches on your phone; possibly use as a mirror.
That’s it! Quick and easy. For more tips, make sure to check back with the Owler blog for our next LifeHack!
